Why choose a stainless steel handpan?
A stainless steel handpan is an excellent choice if you prefer slow, meditative playing. The material is almost rustproof and very low maintenance. One of the key features of stainless steel handpans is their long sustain: the sound resonates for quite some time after being struck, creating soothing, lingering tones ideal for meditation, yoga, and sound baths. Additionally, the long sustain makes stainless steel handpans more forgiving of small mistakes and off-notes, which makes them perfect for beginners.
Care Instructions:
Stainless steel is a very low-maintenance material. Stainless steel handpans are generally well-protected against external influences like dirt, sweat, and moisture. However, it is still recommended to wipe down your handpan with a cloth after each use. For a more thorough cleaning (recommended for frequent use), wipe the handpan first with a paper towel and an alcohol-based cleaner. Afterward, renew its protection by applying a small amount of protective oil or wax with a microfiber cloth and letting it absorb.
